Background

I have always had a love of numbers and whilst running and managing my own chain of retail bookshops for many years I soon realised the importance of keeping on top of your bookkeeping and knowing where your business stands at any point in time.

I understand the pressures of running your own busy business and so I now take great pleasure in helping others with their books, knowing how it can save you time, remove stress, whilst also saving you money by reducing your annual accountancy fees.

How I work

I like to think I am refreshingly different to your stereotypical number cruncher! My first aim is always to take the time to get a sense of you and your business and how I can best help. I know that everyone and every business is different and so I guarantee a tailor made approach that suits your individual needs. Some people prefer me to take over the majority of bookkeeping tasks so they can just focus on their business; others may only want some advice and guidance, or for bookkeeping systems to be set up so that they can then manage it themselves.

As well as all the specific bookkeeping and accounting services I offer, the main thing you get is peace of mind from knowing that your bookkeeping systems are in order. This frees you up to do what you do best: focusing your time and energy into your business. I am very open and approachable, so happy to answer any questions you have, no matter how big or small. When not in the office, you will find me walking the glorious hills of North Yorkshire with my family or trying to keep up my triathlon fitness (it may not surprise you to hear that my love of numbers extends to an enjoyment of calculating speeds, distances and splits!).
